The New Alexander Technique Podcast!

Alexander Technique Podcast

Welcome to my Alexander Technique Podcast! In this debut episode, discover how the Alexander Technique can improve your well being…

The Alexander Technique is a method that works to change habits and improveĀ our everyday activities. It is a simple and practical method for improving ease and freedom of movement, balance, support and coordination. The technique teaches the use of the appropriate amount of effort for a particular activity, giving you more energy and skill in all your activities.

Using techniques to improve our lives is something that has been going on since the dawn of time itself. As Plato* once said, ‘The un-examined life is not worth living.’

How should we live?

How should we live?

This Alexander Technique podcast will try to explore many more ideas and cover topics not necessarily specific to the A.T. Alexander Technique should never be about the subject of the technique. It should be about how you live your life. Confucius the great Taoist philosopher famously posited the question, ‘How should we live? This podcast should grow into a place where many of those questions can be answered. Or at least explored.

The Alexander Technique is a technique that gives you an experience of yourself that leads you to answer many of these questions as you gain more experience of it. If we read a book about how to drive a car, we cannot then jump in a car and drive. The Alexander Technique podcast does not aim to teach the Alexander Technique, only to provide inspiration and to inspire the right kind of thought.

We hope you enjoy the Alexander Technique podcast. If you would like to contribute to this podcast by way of an interview covering your chosen subject we would be more than happy to accommodate you.
